Five minutes from Acres of Solanas you reach Punta del Este's shores, known worldwide as a scenic resort area with miles of beautiful beaches, luxury hotels and restaurants, glittery nightlife and an upscale summer population.
Punta del Este has a coastline and beaches for all tastes. The resort has two different types of coasts and waves, know simply as the “Mansa side” and the “Brava side,” the Rio de la Plata and Atlantic Ocean respectively.
So whether its great surfing waves you’re after or just a tranquil setting for family swim time, Punta del Este has you covered. All beaches are public with crystal clear water, excellent for swimming and a range of sports.
This island and nature reserve is declared a National Historic Patrimony. It covers an area 2 km long by 1 km wide and is just a short boat ride from the Punta del Este coast.
A great spot for fishing, Gorriti island also has expansive white sandy beaches on which to relax. The island is only minutes from our condo building in downtown Punta del Este.
Isla de Lobos is home to one of the largest colonies of sea lions in the world. Two species coexist on the island: the South American Fur Seal (Arctucephahus australis) and the South American Sea Lion (Otaria flavescens).
It has springs of fresh water and sparse vegetation, mainly grass, reeds and Calaguala.
For two months of the year, the Punta del Este nightlife comes alive to draw visitors from around the continent. It is, quite simply, the place to be and to be seen.
The harbor area, La Barra, Manantiales and the Rambla offer bars and clubs for all tastes and, for the high-rollers, the area also hosts some of the most prestigious casinos such as Conrad, Nogaro and Mantra.
Punta del Este offers a great variety of shopping opportunities. One can find the most incredible crafts in the Artisans Market on Avenida Gorlero, or tour exclusive, high-end shops in the prestigious Calle 20, where you´ll find, among others, brands as Fendi, Valentino and Louis Vuitton.
Punta del Este offers a variety of restaurants, from the most sophisticated grills and seafood restaurants to pizzerias and chiviterías.
